What is the difference between persuasion and logical argument? When does either turn into a fight? What is the best way to get out of an uncomfortable exchange of opinion?

What is the difference between a stranger and a friend. Although, you may think you know a friend more, do we really know those people in our lives, or do we see them only through the perspective we wish to give them?
Do you think that human nature is either good or bad? Is a human being born with this nature or is it developed?
You will be given a critical thinking question. You will verbally offer the class your response to that question. Verbal journals are only required once for 50 pts. The balance of the class will offer a response journal in a ‘They Say, I Say’ manner by commenting on the website in the appropriate place: ELAC 101 Verbal Response. Response journals will be graded on grammar and should be 1-2 paragraphs in length. The response should offer a summary of what was said in the verbal presentation, and then the student’s opinion. Each student is required to provide 10 response journals equaling 100 pts. Verbal and response journal due dates are in the syllabus. No make-ups will be allowed.
