Mistakes are unavoidable and we all experience them throughout our lives. We make a mistake and we learn from them. However, whether big or small, we all have an ego which is the reason why people are afraid to make mistakes. We all care too much what others will think or how they'll react when you make a mistake. Another reason people are afraid to make mistakes is from all the pressure. Sometimes making one mistake could be very costly. Although you may learn from your mistakes, there will be times when you can't make up for it.
As humans, we are afraid of failure, but we fail to realize that this is how we can learn to thrive and grow as we make mistakes. We are afraid of making mistakes because in the society that we live in today, we always want to believe that we are essentially 'perfect' but we aren't. In this kind of mindset, when we actually make a mistake, it seems as if we are saying that we are admitting that we are human, and we have as many flaws as the next person in line. This kind of vulnerability can mean embarrassment, humiliation, and definite pressure to most of us.
I agree with my classmates on how we fear to make a mistake because most people will feel like they are going to be judged for making a simple mistake that can be fixed or worked out some way.Life is full of mistakes you just don't know when they will come, its just the way you approach these mistakes. Never be afraid to make a mistake or i will haunt you for the rest of your life until you get it out of the way.
The reason why we are so afraid to make mistakes is because we are afraid to make them in the first place. Yes, we can learn from our mistakes but people would rather learn them without embarrassing themselves in the process. People hate getting their pride broken by making mistakes, even if it is the most tiniest one. Never the less, it is still good to learn from them when they do happen. That way people wont have to repeat them the second time around. It is okay to make mistakes sometimes, it makes us grow as people. It is what makes us human after all.
I completely agree with my classmates that presented especially when it was said that we are afraid to make mistakes because of what others may think. Learning from our mistakes is a lesson we constantly have to tell ourselves so that we do not dwell on our mistake but rather take that experience and make it better. We are afraid of what others will say when we fail but let them not just see you make a mistake let them see you learn and conquer your mistake. Do that not for them but for yourself, mistakes are another lesson learned and we have to remind ourselves that to become more wise.
I agree with my classmates that presented everyone does make mistakes. Why are we scared of making mistakes is simple because we are afraid of what people might think about us. We are in a society where social media is a big deal and everyone is afraid of making a mistake that leaves us in the social media for everyone else to see and make fun of. We don't want to be the subject of the joke we don't want to be judge and that feeling is so strong that we forget something important. Its okay to make mistakes no one is perfect and if you try to be perfect you will fail and make even more mistakes to begin with. We need to learn from our mistakes and the bigger they are the more you'll learn and a better lesson. If you learn from your mistakes then you'll now know not to do it again .
I agree with my classmates that we are afraid of making mistakes due to the fear of being ridiculed by others. We are in an age where things do not disappear so easily with the internet allowing everything to be shared and saved with ease. We fear being judged for our mistakes and the embarrassment that follows it.
Everyone cannot avoid making a mistake, but many people fear to make mistakes because they are afraid of failure, punishment and others’ judgment. Some people are the perfectionist, and they do not allow them to make any error. Sometimes people get a punishment when they make a mistake. The impressing thing I went through was that my teacher hits my palm because I did not finish my homework when I was in kindergarten. Another reason why a person afraid to make a mistake was people’s judgment for him/her, even some people will laugh at a person who made a mistake.
They say we are afraid to make mistakes because we fear what others may think of us. We are afraid of being judged. It is similar to failure. I completely agree when they say that we have to understand we are not perfect and that it is okay to make mistakes. Failure leads to success, the more mistakes we make the more we learn. I say, we are afraid of making mistakes because we do not want to make the same mistakes more than once. If we already made a certain mistake we do not want it to happen to us again. That is why we are so careful of not making mistakes.
I believe people are afraid to make mistakes because of the idea of failure. Although when people make mistakes they should take it into consideration that everyone makes mistakes, and with out mistakes we wont learn, and without learning how would one prosper in life. Sometimes people that make mistakes can be really hard on themselves, and because of this that can be one of the reasons why i believe people are afraid to make mistakes, because they do not want to feel so bad on the same routine made after every mistake. I believe that mistakes are needed in life for growth. I believe its okay to make mistakes..
Most of us are afraid of making mistakes because we fear about what others will tell us. However, we do not have to be afraid because making mistakes is good for us because by making those mistakes, we can learn from them, so that, in the future we don't make the same mistake again.
In class, three of my classmates shared their opinion of why people afraid of making mistakes. When we made mistakes, we considered we will be judged and discussed, and there will always be someone acting like they never make one and give commonts on yours. Everyone want to be "perfert" in front of people, at least we don't want others see our mistakes.
I totally agree that mistake is the best teacher, everytime we make it we can learn from it, and be better next time. No one can be really "perfert" although we constantly making effort on it. And I also think that if a person don't make any mistakes he will get in trouble. He might become conceited, arrogant and self-centered. That is really bad for a human being, as he can not hear others and receive good idea from people around. In the human history, we made mistakes and learnt from it, we destroyed and rebuilt, we fell down and stood up. Making mistakes is a very common thing, just try to be open minded for it, because it also can bring something new and good.
In the classroom, three students published their fear of making mistakes. They are afraid to be judged. We just want to see the best side for everyone. Not their own mistakes.
I agree, because we can not do everything is perfect, we will have failed and wrong, although we are afraid of the error, but we can get inspiration from their own mistakes. And then do more perfect will not be the same thing in the face of the same mistakes. Although it is embarrassing to make mistakes in front of others, but we can do the next better.
Imagine yourself holding a nail in one hand and hammer in the other. You point the sharp end of the nail toward a wall and you strike it with your hammer with all your strength while believing that will, without a doubt, hit it dead center; however it doesn’t hit the nail at all and you just gave yourself the most agonizing pain you’ve ever experienced because you accidentally crushed your hand instead. Some people would be utterly scarred from the sheer pain and maybe never even think about holding a hammer ever again, but seeing that this is a very common activity that many people do, we are succumbed to pick up the hammer and try again. Mistakes are unavoidable. It is just only our will power that gives us either the fear to never try something new or the courage to see it as new possibilities.
Because the way mistakes teach is pain. Few people enjoy pain. We are living in a society. Whenever we are commit to do some activities we always look around, if that activity or task become a mistake what the society or other will think of us. Some people are perfectionists that's why they don't want to commit mistakes. But we all know that nothing or no one is perfect. We all have flaws. We are afraid to commit mistakes because we don't want to be blamed, but whether we like or not sometimes we do slight or big mistakes even if they are unintentional. And we really learn from them, and make us a stronger person. There are better way to learn other than pain or making mistakes. We can learn of other people's mistakes, we can learn of other people's successes. Learning the easy way is not as effective as pain and suffering.
As human beings, we all want to succeed and have a prosperous life. We do a mistake; we make a remark under our breath or out loud depending on our surroundings. Everyone would prefer to learn from watching others failure than their own, because of their pride and/or ego. People like process, steps, routine in their life that one can observe, learn, and later manipulate into their own. If a routine is changed in ones daily life, one can blame the world or take a second and start comprehending the scenario, on where it went wrong. Its much easier to blame others(external forces) and not take fault in failure, because to some people it can be seen as showing weakness, a type of vulnerability that is displayed and sometimes embarrassing. Big or small, it’s a learning process that we prefer get taught then to figure out ourselves and fail. Failure can be seen as falling, falling apart, breaking down, and to show that to others can be overwhelming. Therefore, it can be hard to get back up, so people tend to stay in their comfort zone in life than to try new things and fail. They’re already doing so well in their routine, so why change.
In my opinion we are afraid to make mistakes because of what other may say. Rather than see it as a learning experience we feel a sense of embarrassment. Mistakes are a part of life and we will all make them but most people try to avoid making them in the first place. Agreeing with what was said in class we fear being the odd one out and what other will say about us. Overall mistakes are lessons we should learn from and live with not giving to much thought to what others may say.
Making a mistake might result in failure or loss. It may also cause a person to become disappointed or hurt. These are some things that most people do not want to experience, but these very things are essential for growth and maturity. Failure is not taken lightly, but failure is what helps us succeed. Failing is hard for most people. It also is something that we must do before succeeding in what we are doing. We are scared of something that can benefit us, many people don't decide to take it in that way. It's looked at as shameful and wrong to make a mistake. That's not how it should be. We all make mistakes, even the innocent.
Everyone makes mistakes its just what we do. For some making a mistake is dreadful but for others its a way to learn from ourselves and beneficial in the future. However we are always afraid to make a mistake due to the idea of being judged by what we did. Everyone has the fear of being criticized or judged which affects us and causes us to not make any mistake but does not always work in the end. To some making a mistake is considered as falling at something and fears poeople with the idea of failure because it is looked down upon. The idea of making a mistake should not be seen as something to fear but to praise for oneself because it is a minor setback but can help us in many ways especially to build one's character and mindset.
I agree with everyone on the idea that we do not like the feeling of failure. Human always crave attention and this is why we would rather always be right. Its the feeling of being wrong or doing something wrong that we don't like. As all of us know the feeling of making a mistake is not a nice one. Often it is because we are afraid of being judged by the people around us. Even if mistakes bring a positive thing like a lesson i personally prefer to just always be right.
I also believe that mistakes make us who we are. We grow by making mistakes so that we can learn from them and avoid them in the future. People are afraid of making mistakes because they are afraid of letting other people down. So that fear becomes a mental block and prevents people from doing anything at all. At the same time, I also believe that everyone is human and will make mistakes because it is just not realistic to always learn from your mistakes.
All people make mistakes. Although people can usually learn from their mistakes, people are still afraid of making mistakes. The reason why people are afraid to make mistakes is because people care what others may think and judge.I think we are so fearful to make mistakes because we already know the consequences of our mistakes. For example, after people make a mistake, they think that it makes them look like a fool, other people would make fun of them. Therefore, people will lost their confidence. In addition, the ideology of the society thinks that making mistake is bad and wrong. Therefore, people are so afraid to make mistakes. In my opinion, people are not afraid of making mistakes, people are afraid of the hurting of feeling that comes along with the mistakes.
Mistakes are a way of learning. Many successful people have gone through failure before they reached success. I think that we are afraid of making a mistake because we do not want to be judged by others for making a mistake. Also making a mistake may embarrass us, resulting in loss of self-confidence. I believe that we need to change the way we look at people for making a mistake. We should encourage others to keep trying, not to look down on them
I agree with two presenters who states that we are fear of making mistakes. Since we were young, we were taught that mistake is a wrong doing, a negative thing that we would want to avoid. We always associate the sense of embarrassment when we make a mistake. We do not want to feel ashamed, and therefore naturally we avoid mistakes as much as we can. As we grow up, most of us understand the fact that we do improve upon mistakes, but because the sense of embarrassment and shame is associated with mistake , we are afraid of it even though it guides us to success. Some brave people manages to conquer the fear, and that made them fearless upon making mistakes.
Although most people are afraid of making mistakes, they are not afraid of mistakes themselves. Most of them are afraid of the results after making mistakes. Most of the time after people make mistakes, the results are unknown and unpredictable or unbearable. For example, some people were beaten by their parents after making mistakes such as getting a bad grade or breaking their favorite stuff when they were young. Then they began to learn that making mistakes would lead to disasters when time goes on, because beating by parents is almost the most serious consequence for a child. In most situations, they would be afraid of making mistakes. In their unconscious mind, they think making mistakes are equal to disasters. Meanwhile, some people are afraid of making mistakes because they are afraid of laughing by others. They are concerned about face-saving. Therefore, they don't want to make mistakes.
I believe that as human beings we strive for perfection, therefore we think that making a mistake a sign of failure and weakness. When we are small we fall and get right up and we discover new things by making these mistakes. But as we get older, society makes us believe that mistakes are for the weak and the unprepared person. But without these mistakes how else will we learn? I think that once we surpass the stage of wanting to be perfect that is when we grow the most as a person.
Now on the other hand I believe that we should learn as much as we can from our mistakes and make sure they don't repeat;lesson learned.
In class, all three presenters mentioned that you learn from your mistakes. I don't think that's true. Some people continuously make the same mistakes without remorse or regret. However, I also believe that fear of the unknown is what causes people to make mistake after mistake. But if they just grew out of that fear and learned to embrace that making mistakes is a part of life, they could stop making them over and over again.
