The internet has a large impact on everyone that is a part of this digital age. In class, they said that it causes procrastination, lost time, and has made us too reliable on it. Personally, I can take a few days at a time by disconnecting from the world, and refreshing my mental and social skills. The internet has changed me in the fact that I enjoy alone time without the constant flow of people and their random thoughts and opinions. I would rather read a book in a quiet place, than sit online and chat with people. The internet has changed me by making me appreciate silence, and solitude. The internet also changed me by showing me that people are cruel. Keyboard cowboys and trolls really cause a lot of harm, so in turn, I tend to try and put more positivity on the web when I post things.
I rarely shop online, I prefer to go out into the world and get things for myself. I don’t rely on GPS to get me places, for I have learned to be aware of my surroundings always, use tangible maps when possible and if I solely relied on GPS, I would be lost one day without it. When working on assignments, I tend to turn off my cell phone, or put it on airplane mode, so that I don’t procrastinate or waste valuable time hitting double tap on Instagram for mind numbing hours. I think the new generation is more addicted to the internet. Sure, it’s convenient, but I grew up in a time where going outside, being active, and embracing the world was the main focus, instead of who liked whose Facebook post, or what filter I can put on my face today with snapchat. Overall, I believe that the internet has only had a minor effect on my life, being that it has shown me the more convenient way of doing some things, but really proving that I can do more by DOING.
The internet makes a huge impact on my life as I am usually on it most of the day. It definitely makes me question humanity as I run into scammers, trolls, and stupid people. However, there are still nice people online through my encounters with those who I played games with. I find myself overly reliant on the internet because it is a convenient tool to access information, stories, and friends instantly.
The internet changes our lifestyle a lot. When we had not the internet, most of the people watched drama in the Television, listened to the songs on the radio and watched movies in the theater. Nowadays, we can stay at home and do most of the things on the Internet. For example, we can go shopping, watch movies, order food, chat with friends and strangers on the Internet. Even a lot of people just work at home and earn their living through the Internet. If we have questions, we do not need to ask people, do research or survey, we can get the answer a few seconds by search keywords on the Google or Yahoo. Internet was convenient in our daily life. However, it has its drawback. For example, the hackers may withdraw your money by stealing your private information on the Internet. Besides, people no longer like to communicate with people face to face even they stay in the same place. What’s more, a lot of people cannot live without cell phones. So the internet has a great influence in our life.
I want to give a big shout out to my two best uncles, It is because of them that i know so much about things that interest me! They taught me many great recipes to cook! The best places to go shopping so I can get the best prices! They still teach me what things to avoid and which items are better than others! Thank you to both my uncles, Google and YouTube.
Seriously though, the internet has become a huge part of my life like it has to the majority of people. No need to go ask my parents or check out a cooking book, the internet is the biggest place where I can find any and probably every recipe available. Shopping has become so much easier for me since I can open multiple tabs with each a different company to compare the best products and the best prices available, also check if the item is available near me so I can skip the wait. Whenever I'm puzzled at a retail store comparing two or more items I can simply check online reviews instead of asking random individuals nearby...
The internet has changed me a lot in the way I think. I had to adapt to it because I grew up without internet. Today, I depend a lot on the Internet, especially when it comes to do research for school projects or essays. I most of the times get lazy and do not go out to do research to library because I know it will be easy to find the information at home instead of going out. That's how the Internet has changed the way I think.
In my opinion, internet helps me to do my work easier and faster. And it helps me to save my time and energy. Nowadays, everyone has an iPhone. Development of Cell phone has had a strong impact on the way of society communicates. Internet has given people tools to not only keep in touch with each other, but it also has brought the world closer, making communication across long distances easier. For example, I am an international student from Hong Kong. When I miss my family and friends, I can use internet to connect them, and know what is going on. In addition, I think internet can often inspires me to know about the world.
The internet has changed the way I think but for the better. When I don't know what a word means or I would like to find out the history of things I turn to the internet to give me the answers. The internet has helped me a lot with directions to places, locations to visit and to just keep in contact with friends via social media. The internet also helps me do my work faster but it can be distracting at times. I feel as if the internet in a way helped enhance my thinking because at times it challenges a question I have, or when I want to learn something new I know I can use the internet. It has also helped me learn many pointless but interesting facts that has helped me in social occasions due to me having something to say and avoiding the awkwardness.
If used resoucefully the internet allows me to expand on the way I think. With all the different perspectives and websites, there is a diverse network. If used as a source of pleasure and escape the internet may dwindle my perception and beliefs. It may also cause emotional pain if I allow others' perspective to change the way I think. If I use it in the right ways then it would improve my thinking, but if I allow myself to use it for pleasure or if I allow others to take pleasure in negatively impacting me it will degrade the way I think. Overall, the internet is has improved my thinking because i have used it resourcefully.
I say, the internet is changing the way I think by always depending on it. It can be both a good and bad thing. It's a good thing because I have faster access to answers for homework or work, If I'm unsure about something my answer is just seconds away. I believe that the internet is a bad thing because it has made me very gullible. I believe everything I see or hear on social media like, Twitter and Instagram when no one really knows if that information is 100% true. Social media makes me waste a lot of time. It can be addicting posting pictures on Instagram or snap chat. But the perks about those websites are keeping in touch with old friends or family members. I say, the internet is two-edged.
In the thursday's class, three classmates share us their own opinion on "how is the internet changing the way YOU think". They all thought internet make their life more easier and faster than before, help them to get information more easily. At the same, this kind of convenience is companion with confusion and dependency.
In my opinion, no doubt the internet bring me a lot of suprise, advancement and convenience. When I was young, in the "internet-free" time, in order to do my research home work, I have to go to the library to find a book. But now, I can find the book at home before I go to the library or even find enough information for my research online. And also, I will go online shopping for some heavy stuff instead of going into the store, I can check online if there are a new restaurant around me, and check the discount on the stuff I want to buy and compare it. I can say it make me to control my life more efficiently and effectively. But it also comes with the addiction and dependency. I can spend one whole day on shopping without doing anything, and I can not imagine to live without wifi. As it grows faster today, I get new thing from the internet very easily, but at the same time I always confuse by the "fake news" on it. It make me have to do one more step to confirm if the news is true or not, it make me become more puzzled and suspicious.
The internet can do many things for all of us including me, like if I need to get help on a paper for a class or look for research on that paper I can do it all in one place. We can also be doing that paper or other homework on the internet while talking to friends so I think that that helps break it up and not be totally isolated while working. This has changed my thinking a lot because now if I do not know something of I need help on something I can just go to the internet instead of getting help somewhere else and just look it up. All of the information is at our finger tips so it can change how you think about getting information on something. We should have a lot harder time in life if we did not have the internet and all of this information a click away.
The internet is changing the way I think, in several ways that I don't think I have noticed. The change was minimal and subtle, and wasn't as huge a change for me. The internet changed my way of thinking of ways to research, and look things up, just by simply Googling it. The infamous search engine makes it very simple to access information that we don't know much about, and by continuously doing this, we can access information across an array of different subjects, if we can simply Google it. It changed my way of thinking; the internet makes it easy to do things that we used to do much more easier, such as shopping, research for school assignments, and etc.
In the classroom, the students share what they think is very convenient and people on the Internet.
I personally think that the Internet to my life a lot of fun, we can chat with distant friends and can understand all kinds of news and a variety of books to see. I rely heavily on the Internet. For example, there is no Internet users to buy newspapers before they can see the news, but the Internet as long as you can see the fingers, do not have to spend money do not have to go out.
I think the internet has changed me in both positive and negative ways. It's pretty useful because of how much information is available instantly, and I use the internet pretty much anytime I have to do something and I don't feel like using my mind all that much. I use Google and Youtube when I need help on homework, to do research, If im working on my car, when I need tips on how to clean my guitars without damaging the wood, and plenty of other things I may need help on. Those of times I've used the internet to be productive, but other times when I wanna relax I just listen to music, watch videos, or play video games online with friends. I also like to keep in touch with friends using social media such as facebook, snapchat and instagram, although I do seem to waste a lot of my time on social media, but still, the internet is pretty useful and it has positively and somewhat negatively affected my life.
The internet changing the way I think that it has good and bad side. The good side that it's help me a lot to communicate with my old friends when we aren't live close, and also video call with my relatives without spending too much money for paying the international phone call. I can use it to research for homework and many more. The bad side of the Internet is making me depend too much on it. That I didn't use my brain for thinking, and always asking for help from the Internet.
I say, the internet has brought a huge impact on me. I had to adapt myself into becoming one of the billions user online. The internet has changed my thinking and behavior. The internet has made my life much easier. I was given more excess time to focus on more important matters in my life. The internet had made me lazier by wanting to seek a shortcuts in life instead of going to a solid solution. Nowadays the pace in society is faster than ever, as well as the way people think. The reason to that is because of the internet, since it has given us the opportunity to save the time for communication. On the down side, it made people being more focused on the internet than in reality.
The internet has changed my entire life. I can literally be on social media or networks for 2 hours straight with out putting my phone down. I use it to get directions, homework, the weather etc.. it's a part of my life and it's a way to stay connected. If I didn't have the internet or my phone to be specific, I don't think I could survive 2 days. It has become a indispensable part of my life that I am unable to see a future without it and that also scares me.
In my own opinion, internet is very important in resent society because we can find out what's going on throughout the world, do research on our project, and also expand our community through email and social network. People can gain their knowledge from internet, however, it can also ruin someone's life. For example, most of the teenagers will addicted to video games and social media, which can makes them can't focus on their job or school. Therefore, people should use internet wisely, especially for teenagers.
I believe that the internet plays a huge role in my life. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't use it. Whether is at work or for personal use. I think that the internet has opened my doors for me due to all the knowledge that it has provided for me. Everything is literally at our hands with the internet. On the other hand like my some of my classmates said, it can also cause me to procrastinate when it comes to homework or just in general when I am trying to stick to only one subject since all the pop-ups start to appear. Also, so much reliance on the internet has cause me to be less self-reliant on myself. For example, I can't go to a new place without my GPS which is scary because if my phone is ever on low battery I get frustrated and a bit freaked out. So thinking about this to myself is not good. I remember being younger and the internet wasn't as big as it is now and we all did just fine so in a way I feel that the internet has made me less independent on myself for certain things but at the same time if I continue to explore it for the right things it will also give me a lot more knowledge.
I think the internet for me is a double-edged sword. It has good sides and bad sides. On the one hand, I don't need to waste money to purchase a paper book, because i can do it online. I can also use video call to contact with our relatives and friends instead of meeting face to face. On the other hand, there are some bad things for Internet. First of all, publishing a book doesn't need too much money. I can just write and upload it online and others can read it anywhere. Sometimes, I can write some negative thoughts or unhealthy stuffs in it. Meanwhile, I can find many pirate books online which is unfair for an author. Second, using video call might attenuate the relationship between me and my friends and relatives. I can hide myself online perfectly, but meeting face to face is hard for me to hide myself. In conclusion, I think internet has two sides.
The internet has made a huge impact on my daily life. I came from another country and when I first got here it was totally different from mine. Internet is a necessity here. Without the Internet, your work can be delayed or you could get into a huge trouble. Everything is about the internet. Your questions, answers, homework, everything can be found on the internet. It's also very convenient for everyone. However, this impact could overwhelm you if it's not the right way. I've seen many kids and adults only using social media websites and forgotten about the reality. Internet is very helpful and useful and it can also be a dangerous source.
My classmates presentations had two things in common. One was that the internet was a big distraction in our lives because as young adults we more likely to worry about whats going on in our social media account, rather than worry about other important stuff that is happening in our daily lives. The second thing was that the internet is another sink whole just like a casino. Where you set a limit but it keeps sucking you in. One of my classmates said that she was shopping for something and then she sees an ad that show her something else, which she couldn't resist. She ended up getting it because it came up and she wanted it.
I totally agree that the internet changes each individually in some way. Either, if your shopping, researching, reading, or just on your social media account online. Now, the internet is what we depend on now and days because it seems like it has every answer or everything we want but thats how it changed the way we think. We dont need to go the libary to go read it or go outside to find stuff in stores because the internet has what we need without getting out of our homes.
The internet has changed the way I thank in many ways. For one thing I feel knowledge is just one click away. Anytime I feel inserted in learning something I can just google it and teach myself. I also feel it has helped me connect with old friends and current friends while my life is busy. I do appreciate the fact that technology today let me see what my friends are up to as well. Everything just seems more convenient. However the internet also has the negative impact of distraction. It probably is the number one distraction for me. It is really hard to focus sometimes because when ever I have a random thought or idea about something, I can just grab my laptop or phone and do my research or watch videos. Then while I do that I get so caught up in it that time flies by. So it also can be a waste of time if not used productively.
