After hearing my fellow classmates on what they had to say about faith my opinions are very alike to theirs. In the book, "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill he defined faith as, "the head chemist of the mind". In other words, if the mind beliefs it can it achieve it, the body can also achieve it. I personally like how our last classmate put his journal into his words. All three of my classmates gave good explanation in their own words about faith.
I believe there is no real such thing as fate. All choices and decisions are made you alone. As one of our classmates said our life's decisions are just like dominos. When we make a choice the domino falls and sets up a new path. Im making a choice right now to do this journal, not faith. My destiny is what I make and shape it into be. Whether I do dumb decisions or good ones are up to me and me alone.
Our classmates all had really good presentations which all all basically had the same idea. We are all a victim of fait, we have no control of this. Destiny is what is supposed to happen. I believe you you can control both of these. If something happens and you don't want it to, you either go with it or walk away. Your choices matter, they can lead you to great or terrible things. Bad things can happen but you CHOOSE which way you want to go with that choice. If you've been wanting to see someone for a long time and they end up in your class, people might consider this fate. Maybe its fate that you guys are in the same class but its easy to do nothing about the situation as well.
I really enjoyed listening to my classmates give their presentations. They have really made it eye opening that such events happen for a reason. Putting actions into words catches the audiences attention and it defientitly caught mine. I also enjoyed our last presenter and how his fate was to be late and led his destiny to a great presentation and hopefully a great grade.
After considering my classmates opinions it's my belief that you as a person don't have much control over your destiny. Fate throws things at you and you can't control that, the only thing you can control is how you respond to the things life throws at you and how that shapes you as a person. Life is just how you positive or negative reactions to stimuli shape your decision making for the future. That's the only control over destiny we have.
During my classmates' presentations, they both made a few considerable and similar points. One of which, they agreed that each individual shapes their own destiny. However, there are some situations in life that are inevitable.
Personally, I believe that your actions determine your destiny, and nothing is up to fate. With every decision an individual makes, that impacts their future. Each person has that choice and power within themselves to shape their future. If you truly want something, you can't sit down and wait for it to happen. You must work for it. Fate has nothing to do with shaping your destiny.
As discussed in class, life is like a set of "dominos". I believe our destiny is what me strive for most in life. This would be one's life goal. Fate is like the set of dominos. The only way to achieve our destiny is to respond and make up the choices that fate throws at us in life.
A common theme from my classmates interpretation of the question was that we control our own destinies. Other people may believe that we have no control over our faiths, and that we are living out a life that is determined the moment we are born.To me, destiny and fate aren't different. Although I believe we live out our life and we create our destinies, I also understand that there are things we simply can't control. Our life is a balance of creating our own destinies while living out some things we simply can't control.
I believe fate has the capability to shape ones destiny. Most of the times our actions and decisions can affect our destiny but fate is what puts everything in place. Everything happens for a reason and no one can't avoid their fate. At times obstacles are put on our ways which is a part of fate that is shaping us to become a certain person we are destined to become.
I believe that i shape my own destiny only to a certain extent. I can choose any time there are more than one option in front of me. That is when i can't decide what i want to do whether i know the outcome or not. What i can not choose is fate. Stuck between a rock and a hard place is a great example of fate. You journey through your destiny are all the things you ran into and had to decide between, walks you all the way to when you can not choose and you just has to do what's presented in your face. You can never avoid your fate but you can always find your destiny.
After listening to the responses given in class about destiny and fate. I believe that your destiny is anything you make it to be, which is decided upon every action you take. Nobody can change the actions you make when your deciding your destiny but they can make their own decisions that alter your life which I believe is fate. In other words you receive what you put out in the world. It might not be the fate you always want but in the moment of time you can alter what shapes your life.
I truly believe that everyone shapes there own destiny but fate is what pushes you onto a surtan path it which to take... Although they both mean the same thing there slightly different in which destiny is there future and fate is events that happen with out expectations.
How ever we do have the power to control how we act and work for our destinys and our fates.
The first and last presenter both were almost on the same page as to what advice they would give a new born. A new born should not grow up too fast and and learn to love, is what it came down to. I believe this is really important advice because all your life you grow up wanting to do anything and everything at an age that you aren't ready for. Like they say, "There's a time and place for everything". I also strongly believe that you need to take care of your body and be healthy like the second presenter mentioned. If you start eating unhealthy at a young age, its much harder to fix when you're older. There are many things that a new born should learn and be aware of. As you get older, there is only so much someone can tell you, you doing things and learn from those experiences.
