During class, the presenters stated that our actions determine our destiny, and that everything happens for a reason. They also mentioned that fate will always bring you back to your destiny. I agree with this because everyone has a destiny they'd like to pursue, However, it is up to us whether we want to do it or not. But in the end, fate does bring us back to that destiny if it is something really good for us.
On Thursday the people who gave their presentations on class talked about destiny. The first person mentioned that destiny depends on our actions and that this actions shape our destiny. The second one said that destiny is on each person themselves and that you already have your destiny. The last presenter explained what destiny was and that you are in control of it and you can change it. She/he also mentioned that this is a way on a person's action.
I agree with all of them because as most of them said "It's on someone's actions". It all depends on you, your destiny can be determined by your actions and the decisions you take. That's how you are able to change your destiny. I also have to mentioned that some people belief at the moment you are born, you already have your destiny written. I got to say that that's not true because you can change it by your actions and decisions as already mentioned.
Destiny is a pre-ordained schedule an individual has made, and fate can take the planned future you had, away. Let us say a man has been practicing throughout his or her life to be a professional soccer player. All of a sudden, on the first professional soccer game, the person gets dramatically struck by injury. The injury can cause the individual to never walk again or even worse, kill you. The life that the individual has chosen can change for fate has the power to take your planned future, or destiny, away.
Fate caused the accident to occur and so the misfortune of the event caused another destiny to be planned. Hopefully the plan that the individual had fortuned himself with has a backup plan. Alter as many of your backup plan as you can for you never know when fate occurs. All of your destiny, your plan, your life, all of it comes down to fate.
I believe, much like our first presenter, that you alone are responsible for your own path in life. There is not greater power or greater plan for us, By using your own power from within yourself, you are able to take control of your own life and your own happiness. Although we are all born under different circumstances and presented with different opportunities, we are still in charge of our own decisions. Good and bad decisions result in negative and positive outcomes and consequences. How then can we make the right decisions that will positively affect our lives, leading us to the path of our preferred “destiny"?
Chance favors the prepared mind. A prepared mind means you are in control and have made yourself ready to take on life’s challenges. We cannot control coincidence, but we can ready ourselves to be in the right place at the right time.
Rather than striving to reach a certain destiny or fate, an individual should strive for purpose and peace. By taking charge and writing your own narrative, your life will in result, be your own. You will have no one to thank or believe in but yourself.
Choosing to believe that our lives are out of our control, in my opinion, is choosing to not take responsibility or power over your own life.
During the presentations on Thursday, the people presenting talked about destiny and fate. The people who presented mentioned how we all have a destiny and how everything happens for a reason. I agree with this because I think everything does happen for a reason, but the way we react to the situation is our choice. Like the first person said, everything we do affects our destiny. I didn't agree with the last person who said that no matter what our destiny will always reconnect with our fate. I don't think fate determines our destiny, I think the decisions we make control our destiny.
Like the second presenter, I agree that, everything happens for a reason. With actions one shapes their destiny, to a certain extent. What if every action we take has already been predestined? Some people believe that they are in control of their own destiny. For example, if they have the choice between left or right, the direction they choose shapes their destiny. However, I strongly believe that every choice, every action or every step we take has already been predestined. The way I see it is, if I choose left from right, it is not because I choose to go left but because it was my destiny to choose left. Therefore, your destiny cannot be shaped by your actions, when your actions have already been predestined.
Combining the second and the third presenters' opinions, both of which I partly agree with, we can see that fate and destiny are related to each other because they both unpredictably decide our future. However, the main difference between fate and destiny is fate is something doomed to happen, more uncontrollable, but destiny is something in control, is our resolve and interest to accomplish our goals. We should know our destiny well, have the big picture of what we want to do and then take actions. There is nothing more important than to shape our own destiny not only because it decides our future but also turns our resolve and actions into a promising future.
My classmates gave a presentation about fate and destiny, which was expressed in almost the same manner. They said we are in control of our destiny and fate played a minor role in it. I agree with what they said because if someone is in the correct path that leads them to where they want to be then that will come to pass. When a person decides they want to be a doctor they go to school and if they complete school and all the requirements then they are destined to be a doctor. Fate plays a small role in your destiny. Our fate as humans is death but our destiny or the time when death comes is more in our hands.
On Thursday some of our classmates gave presentations about destiny and fate. I believe for some individuals fate has a huge part in their lives. For example, children that are born to wealth have a higher chance to receive better education than the under privilege. They don't have to worry about getting jobs to be able to pay for their education. The stress you receive from all the bills you owe can be a huge burden when you are attending to schools. While the rich can just focus on their education.
Here is where destiny place a huge part in oneself. I know people that have parents that are willing to pay for their education and allow them to go buy without having a job as long as they are attending school. The unfortunate part is that at the end I found out that they didn't do anything productive while attending college. It is sad to know that you have the ability to do so much for yourself, but if you do not grasps those moments in your life they will just slip through your fingers.
You can have some control of your destiny, because you can choose to walk through a street where there are other people and properly lighted or you can walk through a dark alley at night. Both paths will always have some risks, but if you find a yellow brick road it may or may not lead you to good things.
During class one of the presenters mentioned that “everything happens for a reason”. I disagree, I do not think that anything especially our destiny is outside of our control. Free will is something everyone as a person has, and because of that we are in control of what we do and who we decide to become, but nothing is ever guaranteed. We make choices and because of those choices we control our own destiny, baring a few things outside of our control such as birth, and the actions of other people. Our actions affect our future and we can plan around them and make decisions to make sure that is a future that we want.
I agree with this and think our destiny is mostly up to us and the decisions we make. Although I do believe that everything has a reason. From our decisions to even things we have no control over, there is always reasons.
This past thursday one of the three presenters however one classmate stand out more then anything else and did mentioned :" following your destiny" but you can make your own path of your destiny. Anything can happen at anytime by your own choices or actions.
The presentations given on Thursday was interesting. The first two presenters said similar things to each other, both said that you were in control of destiny and faith played only a minor role, while the third presenter said that we are in control of our destiny and fate plays a significant role in it. I agree with the third presenter more because while yes you can shape your own destiny, you will never be able to change your fate. Your fate will ultimately influence the choices you make.
Fate plays a big role in your destiny because while you can shape your destiny, such as choosing a certain career, the things that happen along the way is still the same no matter what you you choose to do. You cannot know what will happen to you, so fate is a surprise but your destiny is not. Humans are not free from fate due to the fact that it is unknown to us and even if we did, it would be impossible to change. However we do have free will in order to change our destiny. So yes there is certain things that happen and will happen to us and that’s just because of fate and that fate will help shape our destiny because depending on what happens to us, it will influence the choices we make about our destiny.
During our class session we were given opinions and theories were presented to us by fellow students. From what gathered from was listening to them was a common belief that fate, although similar to destiny, is not the same. Fate has a more concrete suggestion that tends to be impervious to influence no matter what events you go through life and can be an event or some predetermined that you cannot escape. Whereas destiny can and usually is shaped by the choices and actions that you make and is reflected throughout as more of more an end point of where your actions will take you.
Now, I personally feel that in a similar sense of how fate and destiny are separate entities, they both can be a semblance of what we perceive to be unavoidable and serve as an explanation to the strange events that one cannot really understand. For example, there is more negative connotations with fate than with destiny. You hear more people complain about fate in ways that tie with death and other symbols of misfortune that happen throughout individuals lives. Yet when good things happen to people, such as becoming successful, wealthy, or just achieving their goals and thriving; most people feel that they shaped their own future or “destiny” to reach those points in their lives.
On Thursday one of our classmate stated, "fate can be changed, and we should be responsible for shaping our destiny by making own decisions". I disagree with the first part because I think that fate is something you are born with, it cannot be changed. For example, you are born at a rich family, so that decides you do not need to worry about debt compared to people who are born at a lower class family. The fate is a fact that you cannot do anything about it. However, I do agree the second part of her point of view that people are responsible for their destiny by making own decisions. The harder you try, the better you deserve. We should make decisions based on how we want to shape our destiny.
In order to fulfill our destiny we must develop fate. The way fate is develop is through course of events. For each event we experienced in our individual lives that will shape our mind and body turning us on what kind of person that we will be. These events can go down to something of your finest experience like spending time with your family and friends or to your dramtic experience like losing dearly beloved family member. But for each event that happens in our lives is a test for every individual on how we react and making a choice. Each reaction and choices have a consequences for example if a boxer delicate all he/she their time on their diet and training camp for a upcoming match more than likely the boxer will be able to win the championship belt or if the boxer dose not take their diet and training camp very seriously he/she will lose the upcoming match. Therefore for each reaction and choices creates our fate and ultimately fulfill your destiny in the future.
The three students that presented had similar answers.Basically, fate is something we are born with, and our destiny is what we can control in our daily life. The first speaker Isis, said that people worry about their fate but not their destiny. I say that if our fate is planned since birth then that means our desinty should be as well. If we are born with a set plan no matter what we do will change the end result. Of course we have somethings in control but even if you follow the right path, somethings can still go wrong.
They say that everything happens for a reason. That fate will always reconnect you even when you try to find your destiny. They say that every action you make shapes your destiny and that fate can change in a matter of seconds. I say that we do shape our destiny and it only slightly depends on our fate. Fate is something uncontrollable and that life just throws your way. I believe destiny is what we make out of it and something we have complete control over.
On Thursday's class session, we observed our classmates responses for the following question: "To what extent do we shape our own destiny." They all talked about fate, however i do not believe in fate or a pre-determined destiny. I believe that we are in control of the direction we are headed but the path may be affected by things out of our control. There is a certain limit in to which we shape our own destiny, but we have the ability to grip and navigate it.
The presentations on Thursday were spoken on faith and destiny. One of my classmates mentioned on how people focused and worried about faith and relied on faith but never focused on destiny. in response to the previous statement I definitely agree, I feel that faith is based on an ideology where if something is meant to happen and it will happen. Faith is something that we as humans can not control versus destiny, destiny I believe is something that we can not truly control but, could be reached by hard work. For instance, I believe that my destiny would to be the best player in the NBA. I strongly believe that in order to fulfill my destiny I must train and push myself. In this example destiny is fulfilled by hardworking and not by slacking off and just believing in faith and just kicking back and not training.
In my opinion, our lives are driven primarily by the concept of self-fulfilling prophecy. This idea means that we often have hidden expectations of ourselves in situations and subconsciously act out in ways that ultimately lead to said expectations. A common example is being in a new class and expecting to dislike your peers. This expectation can cause you to automatically act cold and standoffish, thus scaring away individuals who may have actually reached out to you otherwise. I believe that we may interpret this phenomenon as destiny, yet our fates ultimately lie in our own hands.
Do we learn from our mistakes... yes we do... are we afraid to make mistakes of course we are, but if we don't make mistakes we will not learn how to not make them, when we feel scare we must train our mind that is ok to make mistakes, our destiny evolves around failing, and getting ourselves right back up and crush our goals. If you feel you need the extra push attend a personal development training, where you could fuel your mind about positive acts, don't let one mistake bring down your destiny and your goals.
